Wells Fargo announced they will fund a $7.5 million grant from the financial institution’s Wealth Opportunity Restored Through Homeownership (WORTH) to Milwaukee. The use of funding will be led by the city of Milwaukee and the Community Development Alliance (CDA).

The anti-violence community activist has become such a fixture of the neighborhood they even named a street after her. Mama Freeman has spent most of her life working for the community as a crossing guard, a teacher, a community builder, and now as a pastor at Alpha Omega Ministries.
