John Wayne: A Living Legend 35 Years After His Death

All right quick – name an actor known for playing cowboys.

Well, you could have said Gary Cooper, Gene Autry, or even Clint Eastwood.  But the name that likely jumped out at most of you was John Wayne.

Writer and film historian Scott Eyman examines the full story of the man, whose real name was Marion Morrison, in his new biography, John Wayne: The Life and Legend.

Eyman talked with Lake Effect's Mitch Teich before his May appearance at the Milwaukee Public Market about why, a lifetime after his death, people are still fascinated with John Wayne.

This interview originally aired on May 28, 2014.
