Ex Fabula: Stories from the Campfire

Fourth of July is upon us, already. This weekend, friends and families alike pack the cars full of tents, s’mores, bug spray and firecrackers and head to the great outdoors for a weekend of holiday camping.

So this weekend, we’re taking a trip back with two entertaining tales of adventures in camping. Ex Fabula wishes everyone a safe and Happy Independence Day.

On a mid-October weekend Monica Bennett and her favorite camping companion decided to return to an idyllic summer camping locale. They expected a vibrant display of autumnal artistry in the same spot they enjoyed so much just months earlier. What they did not expect was fickle Mother Nature and a series of miserable mishaps. Was it worth it? Listen to find out.

After building the courage to approach the hot guy at a coffee shop, Linda and “guy” began “hanging out”—no labels. Finding that they both enjoyed camping, Linda decided she could impress guy with her outdoor skills. What she didn’t know was that she would be camping with Bear Grylls. Turns out Linda’s skills weren’t nearly as impressive as her accidents.

Remember, we have the stage. You have the story. Let’s share.
