
Jason Rieve
Assistant Chief EngineerJason Rieve joined WUWM as studio broadcast engineer in June 2017. Jason is now WUWM's assistant cheif engineer. He is WUWM's go-to person for audio assistance — from recording live in-studio performances to recording and editing special events out in the community.
Rieve’s extensive live and studio audio career started in the 1990s when he began working for a Milwaukee-based live sound company, running sound for local acts. Since then, he has worked as monitor, front-of-house, and studio engineer for recording studios and other live music venues and festivals, which host local, national and international artists. From 2013 to June 2017, Rieve worked as a live sound engineer for The Northern Lights Theater inside Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee.
A 2002 graduate of Madison Media Institute, Rieve holds a degree in Recording and Music Technology. Since graduating, he has enjoyed mixing studio projects for artists, interning at a recording studio just outside Portland, Oregon, and continuing to hone his own musical skills.
A drummer since his teen years, Jason has played in various musical projects, including James Brown and Pink Floyd cover bands and as a member of original music groups.
