Sara Tomilin
Major Gifts OfficerSara is a career fundraiser who is inspired by work that benefits others. She became familiar with non-profits and public broadcasting at her first development position at Milwaukee PBS back in the nineties, and over the course of almost three decades, she has held director roles at MIAD, Sixteenth Street Community Health Center, and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Most recently, Sara served as Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum’s first executive director of the non-profit cemetery’s 501c3 where she built the cemetery’s fundraising and community engagement programs. Sara grew up in Iowa in an NPR-listening household and considers public radio an essential part of her day.
She’s thrilled to join the team and to have the opportunity to grow support for something she loves. When she isn’t at work, you might find her mountain biking, cross-country skiing, or on a basic dog walk with her husband, Kyle and their lab-ish dog, Zoya.
