'North of the Tension Line' Series Returns to Washington Island With 'Robert's Rules'
J.F. Riordan’s books are quiet in some ways and loud in others. Her character-driven series, called North of the Tension Line, plays out in the community of Washington Island, on the tip of Door County.
It’s an isolated, quiet place. But there is turmoil, as well - both external and internal - and a fair amount of absurdity. The third book in the series, Robert's Rules, returns to the small community and draws from a real-life controversy for its fictionalized drama.
J.F. Riordan joins Lake Effect's to talk about her latest novel, before an event at Boswell Book Company.
