New electronic signs refer drivers to real-time openings in nearby parking garages.
According to the city's Dept. of Public Works, this is the first phase of the Advanced Parking Guidance System downtown - and the first of its type in Wisconsin.
The city has installed decorative 13 signs - 11 of them computerized, telling drivers where they will find open parking spaces and then directing them to the entrance of the lot.
