The Milwaukee Bucks’ new $524 million arena officially has a name: Fiserv Forum.
The Bucks and Fiserv Co. announced Thursday a 25-year naming rights deal for the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center in downtown Milwaukee, which opens next month. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fiserv is a Brookfield-based Fortune-500 company that provides technology for banks and merchants to move money around. The name pays homage to event Fiserv hosts each year, which gathers professionals in the technology, financial services and business sectors to exchange ideas and learn about financial technology.
“It’s an honor and privilege to continue the tradition established by Jane Bradley Pettit, whose generosity and love for the Milwaukee community funded the city’s prior arena more than 30 years ago. We are proud to be a part of the transformation and revitalization of our home community that continues to evolve for the better,” said Jeff Yabuki, president and CEO of Fiserv, in a news release.
A grand opening celebration is set for Aug. 26.
