Analysis: Why Wisconsin's 6th Congressional Race Is So Competitive

Tons of yard signs are blanketing the 6th Congressional District in the days leading up to Tuesday's midterm elections. Republican U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman has held the seat for four years and faces a challenge from Democrat Dan Kohl. The district spans from Mequon north to Appleton, then west to Wisconsin Dells.

WUWM's Marti Mikkelson spoke with UW-Oshkosh Political Scientist James Simmons. He says what normally is a safe seat for Republicans, isn't guaranteed this time.
