Milwaukee Wave Stays Put

The Milwaukee Wave, the longest running soccer franchise in North America, will play home games at the U.S. Cellular Arena for the next two years. Team officials inked a new multi-year agreement with the Wisconsin Center District yesterday. The U.S. Cellular Arena has been home to the soccer team for the last ten years. It is the venue's only major sports tenant since UWM moved all of its men's basketball games to campus last year.  Prior to the opening of the Bradley Center in 1988,  the Milwaukee Arena, as it was then known, was home to the Milwaukee Bucks, Marquette men's basketball and for many years, the state's private high school basketball tournament.
