Storms Blow Through Area

Michelle Maternowski

Lightening and high winds accompanied strong storms that moved through southeastern Wisconsin early last night.

The turbulent weather that moved through the Milwaukee area last night caused some street flooding, including ponding under bridges, and knocked out power to about 20,000 customers.

Service has been restored to most homes.

Winds topped 50 miles an hour at times during the storm.

The storm caused a roof to collapse at a Walmart store in Lake Delton. Two employees suffered minor injuries.
