We’re closing in on the final stretch, friends. The flowers and trees are blooming, Memorial Day is coming up, and our Ex Fabula ALL STARS Eventis just two weeks away! This is when the crème de la crème of storytellers from Season 8 take the stage of the historic Turner Hall Ballroom to share their tales of “Unfinished Business.” The audience will then vote on to decide who is the ultimate All Star of Ex Fabula's 2016-17 season.
This week we’re featuring audience favorites from the not-so-distant winter season, when we explored two new venues: Sugar Maple in Bay View, and Lakefront Brewery in downtown Milwaukee. Both events brought out fantastic crowds, with amazing performances from our storytellers.
One of those performances came from Tom Matthew. While many children dream of becoming astronauts or doctors, Tom Matthew dreamt of becoming a garbage man. He shared his dream - and his path to the finish line - at our January StorySlam. Did he achieve his dream? Or did he have a “Change of Heart”? You'll have to listen to know the answer.
Our second story comes from our February “Water” StorySlam. When an unsuspecting Heather Swanson set out for an early morning jog around a foggy Lake Geneva, she had no idea what she was in for. Find out what happened, by listening here:
