After several women accused Waukesha Rep. Bill Kramer of sexual harassment, his GOP colleagues unanimously ousted him Tuesday as majority leader.
A short time later, the Republican majority selected retiring Rep. Pat Strachota to succeed Kramer, for the short time remaining in this legislative session.
This fall, all 99 Wisconsin Assembly seats are up for election. The winners will elect new leadership, in January.
Kramer has not yet responded to the allegations against him, made by two women who attended the same political gathering he did a few days ago, in Washington D.C.
