Election: Results in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Race

Laura Gramling Perez won the post of Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 32 on Tuesday.

The presiding court commissioner for Milwaukee County Circuit Court defeated Cedric Cornwall, a Milwaukee County court commissioner. Gramling Perez will take over for Judge Michael Guolee, who did not run for reelection.

Gramling Perez was born in Madison and raised in Milwaukee. Her parents are retired Milwaukee municipal judge Jim Gramling and attorney Sue Gramling.

According to Gramling Perez’s campaign website, she attended high school at Rufus King, graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree, and received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. She has worked as an attorney in Milwaukee at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, and in New York at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
