Tuesday on Lake Effect: Rwandan Genocide 25 Years Later, Dyslexia Legislation, Surviving Assault

Tuesday on Lake Effect:

As many as a million people were killed in the Rwandan genocide 25 years ago. We look at what the world learned from the genocide and the justice that came afterward. Then, we unpack Wisconsin school's issues with diagnosing and treating dyslexia, and the state's first legislation expressly addressing the disorder. And the head of the Women’s Center of Waukesha talks about the challenges in helping assault survivors recover from their trauma.

Guests:

  • Carine Kaneza Nantulya, Africa Advocacy Director, Human Rights Watch
  • Emily Files, WUWM Education Reporter
  • Angela Mancuso, executive director, The Women’s Center Inc.
