UWM Project Helps Prepare Men for Fatherhood

Jon Strelecki
Tom Luljak, Kris Barnekow & David Pate

Becoming a father for the first time can be an exhilarating experience. If you are poor, unemployed or from a household where there was no father figure, your new role as a dad can also be overwhelming.

On this edition of UWM Today, learn about a project that is trying to find ways of helping African American men be better prepared for fatherhood. Host Tom Luljak talks with Kris Barnekow, Associate Professor in the College of Health Sciences, and David Pate, Associate Professor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare.

Tom Luljak hosted UWM Today on WUWM for more than two decades and is the inaugural host of Curious Campus.
