Warming Centers Open Across Milwaukee

Shelters in Milwaukee will accommodate as many people as possible, who need to get out of bitterly cold weather.

--Cathedral Center (845 N. Van Buren): Call 211 first for regular single female and family beds. 211 will be up to date on full beds and additional overflow beds.

-- Guest House (1216 N. 13th St.): 15 overflow beds for men. They will need to be at Guest House by 6 pm – first come, first served.

-- Hope House (209 W. Orchard St.): Warming room open 24/7 for men, women and families. Staff is knowledgeable and up to date on warming room availability. Call first, preferred at 414-645-2122.

-- Pathfinders: Offers temporary shelter for minors up to 12 hours. Please call ahead for availability at 414-271-1560.

-- Repairers of the Breach (1335 W. Vliet St): Daytime shelter and resource center. Please call for more information at 414-934-9305.

-- Rescue Mission (1820 W. Wells St): In by 6:15 pm for regular shelter. In by 10 pm for overflow shelter.

-- Resting Place Cold Weather Ministry (3737 N. Sherman Blvd.): Please call ahead for openings at 414-526-1462.

-- Salvation Army (1730 N. 7th St.): Please call first at 414-265-6360. Staff is knowledgeable and up to date on warming room availability

-- Tippecanoe Church (125 W. Saveland): December 1, 2013-March 31st, 2014. Please call ahead to church office at 414-481-4680.

-- Walker’s Point Youth and Family: Offers temporary shelter for minors up to 12 hours. Please call ahead for availability at 414-647-8200.
