Monday on Lake Effect: Stories of Milwaukeeans & WWII, On That Note

Monday on Lake Effect:

It’s Pearl Harbor Day, and today on the show, stories of Milwaukeeans and World War II. We remember Shorewood native Dickey Chappelle – the first female war correspondent killed in action, 50 years ago. Later, live music from Milwaukee’s Hayward Williams, and we’ll learn what experienced and up-and-coming musicians get from musical master classes.

  • Meg Jones, author, World War II Milwaukee
  • John Garofolo, author, Dickey Chappelle Under Fire
  • Hayward Williams, musician
  • Robert Cohen, On That Note contributor
