Wednesday on Lake Effect: Unpacking the Midterm Elections

Wednesday on Lake Effect:

November’s midterm elections changed the balance of power here in Wisconsin. Tony Evers was elected the Governor of Wisconsin, unseating two-term Republican Scott Walker in a neck-and-neck race. Tammy Baldwin sweeped the U.S. Senate race, Republican Bryan Steil won Pual Ryan's Wisconsin Congressional seat, and Republican U.S. Rep. incumbent Glenn Grothman retained what was called the most competitive seat in Wisconsin's 6th Congressional District.

To conclude the Informed Voter series, Lake Effect and the Journal Sentinel hosted a live post-election show the day after the elections at The Back Room at Colectivo Coffee to discuss and analyze the results and ramifications.

Guests:

  • Dan Bice, Watchdog columnist for the Journal Sentinel covering Wisconsin government and politics
  • Mary Spicuzza, Journal Sentinel politics and breaking news reporter
  • Bill Glauber, Journal Sentinel politics reporter
  • Mordecai Lee, political analyst and former state lawmaker
  • Craig Gilbert, Washington Bureau Chief for the Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin Voter Blog
