Wisconsin’s new education superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor recalls the experience of integrating a school in Mississippi when she was young. Pulitzer-winning playwright and Wisconsin native Ayad Akhtar explains the inspiration for his latest play, Junk. Children’s book author and illustrator Laurie Keller explains what inspired her to anthropomorphize donuts and potatoes, and how one company makes candles inspired by events and places in Milwaukee.
