This weekend on Lake Effect:
We re-broadcast the latest in our On-Site series from Cedarburg, which was ahead of the city's annual Strawberry Festival. We were joined by the founder of the festival and the winery that made it all happen. Then, meet the people working to attract and help women get more comfortable with road cycling. Learn about some of the work going on at the Mequon Nature Center, and the band Chicken Wire Empire brings their heartfelt, bluegrass harmonies to the show.
Guests:
- Jim Pape, founder, Cedar Creek Winery and Cedarburg Strawberry Festival; Steve Danner, general manager, Cedar Creek Winery; and BJ Homayouni, executive director, Festivals of Cedarburg
- Cindy Petted, founder, Wisconsin Women's Cycling; Brian Petted, instructor & coach
- Kristin Gies, executive director, Mequon Nature Preserve
