According to U.S. Census figures, the largest minority group in Wisconsin is Hispanics. Latinos make up 6.34 percent of the state’s population, compared with 6.26 percent for African-Americans, the next largest minority group. Much of Wisconsin’s Hispanic population is concentrated in Milwaukee. The news comes as no surprise to city residents.
