Measles

New research shows that a commonly used measles antibody test may incorrectly suggest that previously vaccinated adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are not protected against the disease. Dr. Freddy Caldera, a gastroenterologist and professor of medicine at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, joins Lake Effect's Audrey Nowakowski to reassure patients that they most likely are protected.

As of Sept. 2, there were 110 confirmed cases in Wisconsin. All but one of those sickened are unvaccinated.
