Ex Fabula: Looking Back at Audience Favorites Before 'Game Changer' Return

When you give, you get back.

So is the common thread connecting the Ex Fabula stories chosen as audience favorites in early 2016.

In January, David Fowler took the stage to tell his story of "Belonging." A Flood Manager for the Milwaukee Sewage District, David was called to Biloxi, Mississippi to assist in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Through the crisis that was Katrina, he formed friendships that will last a lifetime.

In February, Molly Snyder, took the title as she shared a beautiful tribute to her weird, wonderfully supportive father for our "Fatherhood"  StorySlam. When she was little, her dad embarrassed her, showing up to  her every activity on a brown Huffy bike. Even as she grew into a teen, joining a pagan rock band, becoming a human ventriloquist, dropping out of college, he was there. Every odd performance, every life crisis and difficult decision, he was there, supporting her.

When her Dad got sick, then sicker, there was no longer time for all the ways she thought she’d have to repay her dad. So she supported him the best way she could. She was there for him.

These storytellers will take to the stage at Alverno’s Pitman Theater on Saturday May 14, 2016 with an entirely new set of stories based on the theme, Game Changer.
