Health Exchange Premiums will be Higher in Wisconsin than in Most States

According to the U.S. Dept. of Health Services, the mid-level health insurance plan here will cost $361 a month compared with the national average of $328.

Wisconsin ranks #36 in premium costs, heading into the first year of the federal exchange. Actual costs will vary depending on tax credits.

The information from the department also shows cost variances based on tax credits an individual or family may qualify to receive.
