Wisconsin Now has Lydia's Law - Limited Use of a Marijuana Extract

The law allows people to use a marijuana byproduct, to treat seizures. Seven-year-old Lydia Schaeffer of Burlington died from a seizure disorder this month.

Her family had started a lobbying effort to convince state leaders to legalize the use of cannabidiol oil, a marijuana extract, to treat seizures. The Legislature agreed unanimously.

On Wednesday, Gov. Walker named the law after the young girl.
