Melanie Johnson

Melanie became WUWM's vice president of marketing and development in January 2020.

Previously, she served as director of development for a local nature center. She also spent five years as WUWM's major giving specialist from 2011 to 2016. 

In her current role, Melanie is responsible for managing all fundraising efforts to grow overall membership, as well as provide detailed database analysis and strategic leadership in the area of individual giving with donors and foundations.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
