If the last couple of days are any indication, spring may finally be sticking with us. For some people that might mean the chance to get out and work in the yard. Others may be relishing the opportunity for spring sports like golf.
The May issue of Milwaukee Magazine features two covers. The traditional front cover focuses on Fitness, but if you flip the magazine upside down and onto its back, you'll see another cover, and a series of articles, devoted to golf.
"It’s one thing to have a course the caliber of Brown Deer, but to have as many as we have, and the different types that we have — there’s just so many of them," says Milwaukee Magazine Executive Editor Chris Drosner.
Milwaukee County Parks owns 15 golf courses that rank among some of the best in the nation, according to Drosner. From Brown Deer to Lake Park, beginner to tournament-tested courses, this month's story dives into some of the best golfing the county has to offer right in our backyard:
