Potter Andrew Linderman's Alchemical Mix Of Chemistry & Ceramics

The Morning Glory Art Fairtakes place Aug. 10-11. The nationally recognized juried fair is in its 45th year and showcases artists and craftspeople from around the country. This year, even more artists were invited to show their work — the fair moved to the plaza in front of the Fiserv Forum.

Potter Andrew Lindermanwill be showcasing his work at the fair. The Minnesota native and former chemistry teacher now calls Milwaukee home. He creates functional objects: pieces that enhance the interaction between food, people, and their communities.

Linderman says his chemistry background serves him well as a potter.

"I think it’s a really good marriage," he explains. "Clearly, I have some sort of analytical forte in my brain somewhere and merging that with the creativity and the physicality of throwing and making functional ceramics is a lot of fun."
