Milwaukee Brewers Manager Craig Counsell speaks to the news media Saturday night at Miller Park.

Following the Brewers loss, Counsell spoke to news reporters.  He said, "We won our division [National League Central]. We finished one game from the World Series. "

Counsell said the Brewers would like to be playing in the Fall Classic, but he told the team Saturday night that, "They took us on amazing journey. I mean, they really did. They took us on an incredible journey that we should all be grateful for being able to see, because it was a magical run, especially in the month of September and into October.”

The Brewers were trying to make it to the World Series for the first time since 1982, and for the second time in franchise history.
