While the bands in the upcoming Local Coverage concert are covering each other’s songs, another group of bands comes together on Saturday night on behalf of a decade-old foundation - and they’ll all be covering another artist’s music as well.

In this case, though, the annualPablove Concert at Turner Hall features musicians all covering songs by Tom Petty, who died a few months ago. Louie Lucchesi, who is organizing, producing, and performing in the show, says he clearly recalls people's reactions when Petty's first album was released.
"It was interesting because not only was it a great record, but it sort of appealed to a lot of different people," he recalls. "The punk rockers liked it and the classic rock people liked it, so he really just hit something from day one."
Just as Petty's music resonated with many different people, the concert is featuring a wide range of Milwaukee musicians and their interpretation of Petty's songs. These musicians include Sam Llanas, Abby Jeanne, Gabriel Sanchez, The Wooldridge Brothers, and more.
Another one of those performers is musician and Lake Effect alum Trapper Schoepp, who stopped by the studio along with Tanner Schoepp this week to share his Tom Petty cover, Walls.
