Sheriff’s Department: People Driving too Quickly are Causing Spinouts and Crashes

Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office

A Milwaukee County deputy sheriff was injured Monday, when a driver traveling too fast for conditions slammed into his squad car.

The squad car was pushed off the road and into the embankment and a highway sign. The deputy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office says the accident was just one of a number of freeway accidents caused Monday, by people who fail to slow down when roads are snow-covered or slippery.
