6th Annual Latino Arts Guitar Festival Welcomes Guitar Masters & Fosters Student Growth

One of the places the arts is thriving in Milwaukee can be found on the city’s near south side. Latino Arts is a hub for and a celebration of Latinx artists of all kinds, but its reach goes beyond them into the larger community.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, the 6th annual Guitar Festival takes place at the Latino Arts Center on South 9th Street. It’s a competition for classical guitar students ages 8 to 18 and a series of master classes, and it all culminates in a concert by two classical guitar masters: Alfonso Moreno and Oman Kaminsky.
