Mario Quadraccistudied at Berklee School of Music in Boston. And for years, whenever he had the chance, the guitarist was found in his basement studio, experimenting. The goal always was to try to replicate what he heard in his head.
"The end result wasn’t really the goal in the beginning. I’ve always loved music, went to school for music, and just started to develop this sound and these techniques that enabled me to emulate different instruments and I guess create people to play with who weren’t there," Quadracci explains.
Now, he’s come up from the basement with his first full length studio album called Ceiling Spirits. Quadracci says the album's sound is filled with a mix of genres, such as classical minimalism, post rock, electronic and ambient music throughout.
He, along with guest musicians Tonite Ensemble and Nicholas Elert, will perform it in its entirety Saturday evening at the Miramar Theatre on Oakland Avenue.
